Babylon Consult team provided interpretation services in Chinese, on the occasion of the opening of HIFU Terramed Conformal Clinical Centre. On November 17th, HIFU Terramed Conformal, the first private clinical centre in Romania, for curing cancerous tumors through the HIFU-HCU method (consists in generating high frequency acoustic waves). Pe 17 noiembrie, s-a deschis HIFU Terramed Conformal, primul centru clinic privat din România, pentru tratamentul tumorilor canceroase, care utilizează metoda HIFU-HCU, ce constă în producerea de unde acustice de înaltă frecvenţă. HIFU Technology (high-intensity focused ultrasound) was discovered in China in the ‘80s and since then it has been optimized and applied in more than 300 hospitals. At the HIFU Terramed Conformal Centre, the Babylon Consult interpreters had the opportunity to translate Yongbin Deng’s presentation (surgeon, professor at the Chong Quing University). After UK, Italy and Spain, Romania is the fourth European country where the HIFU treatment is being introduced; it requires hi-tech equipments used in order to generate ultrasounds and to keep patients comfortable. Tehnologia HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound/ ultrasunete focalizate de intensitate inalta) a fost descoperită şi optimizată din anii ’80 în China, unde este utilizată în peste 300 de spitale. La inaugurarea Centrului HIFU Terramed Conformal, interpretul Babylon Consult a avut onoarea de a traduce prezentarea medicului chirurg Yongbin Deng, profesor la Universitatea Chong Quing. După Anglia, Italia şi Spania, România este a patra ţara europeană unde se introduce tratamentul cu HIFU, care necesită echipamente de înaltă performanţă, utilizate pentru generarea ultrasunetelor şi pentru confortul pacienţilor.]]>
