1. Vizitaţi Fortăreaţa din Suomenlinna
Suomenlinna este un grup de insule situat la câteva minute de portul din Helsinki. A fost folosit ca o fortăreaţă pentru a apăra oraşul pe parcursul anilor 1700. Fortăreaţa este încă într-o stare bună şi face parte din Patrimoniul Mondial UNESCO datorită arhitecturii sale militare. Se poate ajunge acolo pe jos pe timpul iernilor friguroase. În trecut, marea era îngheţată, iar cetăţenii din Helsinki puteau ajunge pe insule mergând pe jos. În zilele noastre, acest lucru se întâmplă rar. Se poate ajunge acolo luând un ferry din port, folosind abonamentele zilnice. Un bilet pentru o persoană costă 3.5 Euro.
2. Biserica de piatră
Nu foarte departe de centrul oraşului veţi găsi o biserică lutherană care este construită în interiorul unui deal. În weekenduri sunt susţinute concerte, iar pe parcursul după-amiezelor se susţin audiţii libere. Nu se percepe o taxă de intrare, iar catedrala merită vizitată!
3. Catedrala din Helsinki
Această catedrală albă maiestuoasă este localizată pe un mic deal, la o distanţă de aproximativ 500 de metri de centrul oraşului şi de port. Pe timpul unei zile însorite, catedrala arată minunat, dominând oraşul de sus. Intrarea este liberă, iar catedrala merită văzută. Poţi aprinde o lumânare contra sumei de 0,50 Euro. Luaţi loc, relaxaţi-vă şi uitaţi-vă la ceilalţi oameni. Pe parcursul sărbătorilor de iarnă veţi găsi un târg de Crăciun localizat la baza scărilor catedralei.
4. Mergeţi cu tramvaiul
Dacă vremea este rea, mergeţi cu tramvaiul. Tramvaiul nr. 3 traversează tot centrul oraşului, având astfel ocazia să vedeţi cele mai importante obiective turistice. Este o ocazie minunată de a vedea oraşul fără să vă udaţi sau să răciţi. În plus, tramvaiele din Helsinki sunt dotate cu reţea wireless. Luaţi-vă un abonament de o zi si petreceţi câteva ore în tramvai!
5. Mergeţi cu ferry-boat-ul până la Tallinn
Dacă nu aţi văzut toate obiectivele menţionate mai sus, puteţi lua ferry-boat-ul până în Tallinn pentru o zi sau două. Călătoria durează o oră şi jumătate, iar dumneavoastră puteţi petrece o zi întreagă în Tallinn. Preţurile din Tallinn sunt mult mai scăzute decât cele din Helsinki, mulţi finlandezi venind aici pentru a cumpăra alcool, acesta fiind foarte scump în Finlanda din cauza taxelor mari.

1. Visit the Fortress of Suomenlinna
Suonenlinna is a group of island couple of minutes away from the harbor of Helsinki. It was used as a fortress to defend the city in the 1700s. The Fortress is still in good shape and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its military architecture. During strong winters you can go there by foot. In the past the sea was frozen and citizens of Helsinki were able to walk to the islands. Today this rarely happens anymore. You can take a ferry from the harbor with your daily pass. A single ticket is 3.50 Euro.
2. Rock church
Not far from the city center you will find a Lutheran church which is designed into the hill. On the weekends you will find concerts and in the afternoon free auditions. The is not entrance fee and totally worth a visit!.
3. Cathedral of Helsinki
This majestic white building is located on a little hill about 500 meters from the city center and the harbor. During a sunny day the cathedral looks beautiful overlooking the city. Entrance is free and worth. For 0.50 Euro you can light a candle. Just sit down and relax and watch other people. During christmas you will find a christmas market on the foot of the stairs.
4. Take the Tram
If the weather is bad, just take the Tram. Tram Nr. 3 goes around the whole center of Helsinki and you will pass most of the important sights. It is a great way to see the city and not getting wet or cold. Additionally, the trams of Helsinki have Wifi! Get yourself a day-pass and spend a couple of hours in the tram!
5. Take a Ferry to Tallinn
If you have seen all of the points mentioned above, why don’t you take the ferry and head over to Tallinn for a day or two. The quick ferry takes one and a half hours and you can spend the whole day there. Tallinn is much cheaper than Helsinki and many Fins go there to buy alcohol as it is very expensive in Finland due to the high taxes.]]>
